About Us

Total Console Repair Limited (TCR) is the largest independent games console and iPod repairs centre in the UK, based along the South Coast of Dorset serving private, insurance and corporate customers.

TCR was founded by two brothers Robert and James Austin working out of their basement in 2003 and was incorporated as a limited company in 2005. It grew up quite naturally alongside its old sister company Total Disc Repair Limited (TDR) who specialise in supplying machines to fix damaged DVD's and Games. By March ‘08 the company had to move for a second time to larger premises and had gone from the two brothers to over 25 members of staff.

More recently in February ‘09 TCR had a second floor added in to the factory due to the company's rapid growth and the need to once again double its sizeable work area. With degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science the brothers are still at the helm and maintain a hands on approach to the development of repair research and the detailed, bespoke record keeping software.

Whilst a very target driven enterprise is apparent it is balanced with a large dedicated games and tea room, regular offsite social and team building activities and relaxed professional atmosphere. TCR is still a quickly expanding company and is always on the look out for new talented individuals to further enhance an enthusiastic team.

TCR now have on average 50 highly trained technicians and support staff on site every day dedicated to the repair of games consoles and iPods. The workshop 'cell' teams consist of very well selected technicians that have undergone detailed company training to bring their work to the required level. They ensure every single console is repaired, tested and cleaned to our TCR benchmark quality standard.
